Cookery camp

Cookery camp

Arriving from Brighton we did not have long time to think about the lovely day there because a new interesting programme was waiting for us. We were excitedly waiting for the cookery camp.

We satrted our first day in a museum where we picked a lot of interesting thinks up about popular dishes and customs in Jászság. We got to know popular spices that were used by our ancestors. Mr. Bathó the museum’s curator invited us for a tour in the old times. The cookery camp ended with a cooking competion. We cooked together with the team of the OTP Bank at the Jászberény Harvester and Popular Foods Cooking Competion. Here the atmosphere was very good we enjoyed cooking together. Our menu was the following: Rustic potato balls with a so called “banker stew”.  🙂

Thanks for Mrs. Fülöp and her group for participating and inviting us for such an excellent event. Thank you for her kindness. We can hardly wait for September when we will have the chance to learn some tricks again. I hope the chef will like us rather the balls being a bit cube.  🙂 Kitti Kispál, J.3
