Back home from Freshmen’s Camp

Back home from Freshmen’s Camp

Dear Members of Advisory Board,

Between the 22nd and 26th the first camp was organised for the youngest Csányi students. A lot of positive feedback arrived back to the Community Houses and we would like to share them.
Bálint-Orsós Andrea – mentor P3, Biro Patrik – mentor NB3, Martincsek Zoltán – mentor SZ3

The first Csányi camp enriched my son with unbelievable experiences. In the beginning, he had fears what it will be far away from his brother and sister and her parents. After the first day at camp, the new surroundings, new people made him scared but this feeling vanished away very quickly. At home, he was talking only about his positive experiences  just like the accommodation, the talent show, the competitions, the adventure park, the study methodology lessons, the drama lessons and about the financial lessons. We share the happiness of our son as we heard about all these colourful programmes. The best proof of his satisfaction is his words: ‘It is good to be a Csányi student.’
For us, parents, the greatest happiness is the happiness of our children. Through this way I would like to grab the chance to thank you this memorable camp in which my son could participate and the possibility that he is now a Csányi student.

This was the first time for my son, Balázs, when he was away from his family even at night. I had qualms about letting my son go but I knew our dear mentor, Ms Andi, would look him after. I was following the events of the camp on the Foundation’s website day by day. As I saw my son in the photos with sparkling and smiling eyes, I was sure that he is enjoying the camp and it will be an unforgettable memory for him. Many adventure and experience waited for him and, of course, studying which never can spoil his good mood. He was so busy with the programmes that he did not even have time to call his mother to say good night. I called his mentor to ask him to turn on his phone because I could not reach him. This shows that he enjoyed the days so much that he forgot about me. At home, after the camp, he was telling his experiences and I understood that this was a well-organised and perfectly built camp. Thank you very much for the memories!

First of all, I would like to thank you that may son, Botond, could go to a camp with so many interesting programmes. Since he came back home he has been telling his stories and experiences about the camp. It is for sure that he enjoyed the camp very much. He is mentioning the adventure park, the number’s battle and the everyday football. As he was talking about the drama lessons and study methodology lessons, it was obvious for us that the children learned a lot and the atmosphere was friendly there. He made many new friends in the camp. He has met such things during those days, which he has not seen before. I am sure he will talk about the Freshmen’s camp many times in the future. I am really happy that he was enriched with so many experiences and he is looking forward the next programme with his Csányi friends.

Nagy Attila, parent Nb3

We also would like to thank you this camp in which our son, Krisztián, could participate. It was a kind of milestone for him because it was the first time being away from the family for days. He enjoyed the camp so much that he is still talking about it. It was uplifting to see those kids who were foreigners to each other at the beginning of the camp to become friends and looking for each other’s company now. They become a group. I would like to thank you that we could follow the events of the camp day by day on the website and we could see our children. This made us relaxed. In addition, of course, thank you for all the people who worked in the camp with our children.

Scheiderné Gyurica Ivett, parent P3

Dear Andi! I would like to thank you and your colleague once again that you devoted time and special care to my child. For this age group mother can be missed at night. And in our family we are really ‘tuned’ on each other. Kata talked a lot about her experiences. She talked about the horse cart ride and adventure park in details. You said they would not have time to be bored and it was true as I heard. We were really looking forward the decision of the Advisory Board, the first PT meeting and the first camp. I think many other parents can share my opinion that our children are in a good place in the Foundation. I wish you and all your colleagues a relaxing weekend but we are already looking forward the next meeting!
