Our Foreign Language Competitors’ Oral Exams in Szentes

In March, the eighth-grade students from Szentes had a lot of learning to do at the Foundation’s foreign language sessions. After everyone successfully completed the written online rounds of the English or German language competition series, as a culmination of the competition, they had to demonstrate their knowledge orally in the spring semester. During the sessions, they worked on various topics with the help of our developers, practiced describing images, and engaged in situational conversations. Then, before the spring break, the eagerly awaited days arrived, and it became clear how deeply each student had delved into the field of foreign languages. In our community center, 4 students learn German, and 22 students learn English, and the committee generally evaluated their performance with high scores. Horváth Vanda and Gila Balázs from the 1st group, as well as Horvat Kristina and Nagy Balázs from the 2nd group, delivered outstanding performances, receiving the maximum score from the committee. Those who achieved good results can confidently await the summer foreign language camp, while those who still have room for improvement can surely benefit from the native language environment. – Kovács Sándor, mentors of Szentes 1, and Őzéné Törőcsik Márta, mentor of Szentes 2.
