Interview with Gyula Molnár PhD

Gyula Molnár PhD is an ornithologist, born in Szeged. His love towards nature was shown is his childhood – his interest in photography began at that time, too. After he had graduated as a Biology and Chemistry teacher, and had his PhD done, he started giving ornithology-, zootaxy- and ecology lectures at the university. Meanwhile he was not negligent in photography: besides a popular photo club visited by both the young and the elders regularly, he also established NaturArt with other well-known Hungarian photographers. What is more, the Professor expended much time on music as well: his band, Molnár Dixieland has released five studio albums and several successful concerts. And this is not the end…

Last week we had the chance to make an interview with Gyula Molnár PhD, the retired adjunct professor of the University of Szeged, during which the Professor told the story how he became engaged with nature both as an ornithologist and as a photographer; he said a few words about his book, titled My Great Plains; and besides these, he said how he first had met the music and how he decided to make his own band.
