Cultural Day

On April 17, the groups from Szentes paid a joint visit to the József Tóth Theatre: the gala of the István Keleti Primary Art School and Artistic Vocational Secondary School (KIMI) was held again this year, where the excellent drama students of HMG performed their poems, songs, monologues, and class plays. The performance began with the graduation ceremony of the senior students, which I watched with great emotion, as my brother was among them. The head of the graduating department—who is also the leader of the Foundation’s drama section—was Ibolya Csapiné Matos. She presented the traditionally distributed “Csörgősipka” (Jester’s Cap) and “Csörgőcske” (Little Jingle) awards to the students who had provided the most outstanding performances. In the first half of the show, we saw and heard the pieces of the students who had performed best during the gala. These included dances, songs, touching poems, and many funny monologues. In the second half of the program, we saw the final joint production of the graduating class. They brought an intense, yet humorous and high-spirited play to the stage. We witnessed truly wonderful performances, which included touching moments, serious minutes, and entertaining parts. We are glad that we did not miss this event! – Boróka Süle, Szentes Group 2
