Critical thinking and IT

We started the new school year with a language game – the children had to say letters one after the other in such a way that, when they were read together, they could always complete the sequence of letters with a meaningful word. After that, we started to make things: in teams of 3-4, we had to build a tower as high as possible using only a few sticks and a strip of cellux. Initially, Evi Buzsáki’s solution stood out in the room, but then Niki Váradi and Balázs Takács (with some mentoring) caught up and even beat them! In the end, they all managed to put together a building taller than me. Ádám Balogh, volunteer

After a logic session we started our first ICDL preparation class. Zalán Győző (University of Pécs) prepared a ppt presentation on basic computer skills. The children diligently took notes on what they had heard in the class. At the end of the lecture, we tested the children with a short test and the most skilful ones were rewarded with chocolates.
