The Csányi chamber orchestra is born…

It was suggested at the Walk of life programme in Kaposvár that a chamber orchestra should be formed to present the talented young musicians of the Foundation.

I was glad to accept the invitation to conduct them. We first met in Pécs. The first setup is the following: 3 flute players, 1 cellist, 2 singers, 2 trumpet players, and one clarinettist. The children are 11-13 years old and play well. The two singers Maja and Janka premiered on the 11th Summer Fete programme. Our setup is quite unusual for a chamber orchestra with the lack of string instruments. So it all needs special attention to bring the most out of it. The children could learn how to work together and had a great time. They made just a few mistakes. I’m sure they will, make a great team. We have only one string instrument: in personally of Antónia. Was a hard task for her to be alive as an only cellist on our first rehersal. After the difficulties at the beginning she enchanted the orchestra with a beautiful string tone. The children were playing renesans polyphonic songs to get to know each other better. Clarinet and trumpet both are different tuned instruments, I have to make an other sheet music for them, it will be a hard task as for me. During the common rehersals we learned to care each other. Hopefully it was an inspiring experience for them as well as me.

How we saw it…

“I was very nervous as I didn’t know what to expect. But it was great. “Majoros Ivett Pécs 3.

“We met on the first practice session of the new chamber orchestra and it was a great experience to work together with others form Mohács. We learned much today from each other and from Adriana. We are looking forward to meet up soon.” Gálffy Kíra, Polgár Antónia, Polgár Petra Pécs 1.

We took part in the selection process for the chamber orchestra.  It was a very cheerful afternoon, and we enjoyed the time together. Adriána led us ” on the path of clear voices”. We were a bit moderate at the beginning, but got relaxed by the end. The selection was successful and the fellowship was great. We thanks to Adriána and the Foundation for this opportunity, and we hope that we will have such a nice and happy afternoon again like this. Sik Maja and Rácz-Vekerdi Janka from Mohács 2.
