The Selection has Begun in Mohács Too!

The Selection has Begun in Mohács Too!

The selection process has begun in Mohács as well. It’s quite special that so many have applied, requiring 3 days for each child to showcase their talents. There was immense preparation leading up to this weekend so we could welcome our guests with plenty of exciting and entertaining programs.

  1. Day: The first day of selections has begun. Today, 15 children arrived with their guardians, and after everyone arrived, the day started with a quick program briefing. Then, the applicants took their logic tests. Meanwhile, Dr. Miklós Radoszáv gave a presentation about the Foundation and the five most important decisions parents need to make. Then, Hanna Szép and Maja Sik gave an overview of their experiences with Csányi over the years from a child’s perspective. After a quick break, the children moved on to reading comprehension, while the parents participated in a drama workshop combined with a reading comprehension and logic test. Laughter filled the room during the children’s drama session before lunch. Then, the eagerly awaited portfolio presentation began, where the children confidently and skillfully showcased their talents.
  2. Day: The second day of the selection process started early. The 15 children arrived on time with their guardians, and excitement was still visible on many faces. It was a special joy that Csányi Erika, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, joined the team today, helping with the work and actively participating in the day’s events. After the large group gathered, there was a quick program briefing and introduction, and then the youngsters began writing their first tests. Meanwhile, Dr. Miklós Radoszáv introduced the Foundation, and Teréz Balog and Adél Mezei talked about their life experiences to the parents. After a short break, the children began writing their second tests of the day, while the parents participated in a drama workshop. Based on feedback, they had a great time and came out of the room with many memories. The children then switched places and enjoyed a very lively drama session. Lunch followed, and then the eagerly anticipated interviews took place.
  3. Day: The third and final day of the selection process in Mohács has arrived. Today, 10 young talents arrived with their guardians at the Mohács Community Center. Following our tradition, the day started with a quick program briefing and introduction of the staff and helpers. Dr. Miklós Radoszáv introduced the Foundation to the parents and discussed the most important decisions. Alongside him, Kata Környei and Teréz Balog gave a presentation about their Foundation activities and shared some interesting facts. Finally, Panna Beke and Hanna Szép told stories from the past two years in improvised two-minute monologues to illustrate how much can change over the years. Then came the parents’ drama. Meanwhile, the youngsters first wrote the logic and then the reading comprehension tests. Another short break followed, and then the children had the opportunity to try out drama with Sasa, Uncle Zoli, and Aunt Zsuzsa. After everyone had a good laugh, it was time for the interviews, where the talents were eagerly waiting to showcase their portfolios. Thank you very much to Gábor Marosi, the curator, for participating and helping with the selection.”
