Gingerbread

Gingerbread

In Kaposvár Group 4th we had an unusual language class today. The students learning English and German spent this afternoon together, because with our last lesson this year we were getting ready for the upcoming holidays: making gingerbread balls. At the beginning of the lesson everyone read the recipe in English or in German, translated it, so many new words related to Christmas and cooking were added to the children’s vocabulary, and then we started to weigh and mix the ingredients. The mass was made into small balls, which were wrapped in a mixture of gingerbread spices and ground biscuits. It was great to see how the kids enjoyed the afternoon and brought home the delicacy with a smile. Anett Kiss, Mónika Szigeti, language developers
