Open day in Baranya County Public Administration Office
On 28 November students of group 1 of Pécs spent most of their day at the Barany County Public Administration Office because of the ‘Day of Administration Offices’. On this occasion the offices organised different forums, specialised programmes in order to bring the work of the offices closer to the public.
Today’s programmes were mostly about ‘human oriented public administration’, study orientation and about healthy lifestyle.
The day was opened by the speech of Dr Hargitai János State Commissioner. He talked about the importance of work of officials in our everyday lives, government development programmes, which affects our town in the near future, furthermore he talked about Government Office Points, which aim to help the public to manage their official business faster and more effectively.
The next speaker was Janovics László head of Baranya County National Employment Service. He talked about the present state of unemployment in Baranya County underlining the possibilities of young entrants and about shortage of skill jobs. He also talked about the importance of selecting our future profession as well. The vicious question arose here too, namely: tertiary education or skilled profession. It was good to hear about these topics because next year we will be the ones who have to make a big decision.
Finally, Dr Kassay Veronika, head of Baranya County Government Office Subregional Public Health Institute Service, talked about healthy lifestyle and about the importance of sport. She discussed the harmful effects of energy drinks and addiction in details. She emphasised health protection and she also made us to focus more on our own health.
Many of the presentations were interactive and students came to the programmes form all secondary schools of Pécs. During the question session, a lot of students lived with the chance to ask their questions.
All in all, we had a very useful day.
