Career orientation day in Pécs
“On 25 November, the students of Pécs 1 and Pécs 3 gave us presentations about their university courses, their institution and their training. They gave us a lot of useful information in the form of stylish presentations, and then anyone could ask them questions. We could hear a presentation about the University of Szeged, or Tihamér Szereceán from the Netherlands joined us online. We also heard about the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Computer Engineering at the University of Pécs, the Faculty of Psychology at the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Geoinformatics at the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Paramedics at the Faculty of Engineering. They all told us about the research and scholarship opportunities available and about the fields of work in which graduates can later work. Many of them also gave pro- and con-arguments about the degree courses and the fields of work. They were also happy to show us their timetables and tell us about their hours, which also helps us to choose a degree course where we can study subjects we like – and then later take a job we enjoy. At the end of the programme, the group and I also looked at the most important websites and useful information about further education.
