Project AMÖR

Project AMÖR

In February 2023, a team from the Community Center of Jászberény participated in the First Lego League competition with their innovation project Automatic High Bed Irrigation System (Hun. acronym AMÖR).

The theme of this year’s competition was renewable energy sources, and the teams used the innovation project to find a unique solution to a real-world problem that would make the world a better place to live in. The jury members were completely impressed by the working model, the felted eggplants, the eggplant cream snacks and the professional presentation of the children. Perhaps this was also the reason why the Innovation project won 1st place and the Lego Cup, and was also awarded a special prize: the Breakthrough Award.

The team was made up of Tilda Tamasi, Ferenc Horváth, Kristóf Kaszab, Márk Szücs and András Oláh from Group 3 of Jászberény; Hanna Kovács, Zsolt Kovács and Hanna Sas Maja Sanna from Group 4 of Jászberény; and Márk Kaptás and Marcell Orosz from Group 1 of Jászberény.

Coaches: Teacher Lajos Zeke, volunteers Katalin Fülöpné Paksi and István Bugyi, mentors Andrea Hábenciusné Balla, Ildikó Nagy and Tamás Oláh.
