Sport on the river Tisza

Sport on the river Tisza

We held another project day in Szeged on the 8th of May, unfortunately in online form again. Our original plan was to go dragon boating; however, the epidemiological situation unfortunately did not allow this. We presented online about sport opportunities related to the river Tisza. Zsolt demonstrated the world of kayak canoe. He spoke about the historical background and equipment of the sport, as well as famous Hungarian athletes. Then I presented information about dragon boating if we couldn’t experience it in person. After a little historical overview, I presented the peculiarities of the sport and told on my own experiences about a few years ago when we took part in a team-building kite boating with our group within the framework of the foundation. Then I presented about the Tisza PET Cup with the help of Alíz’s presentation. I demonstrated the main goal of this event, which focuses on making boats with reusable garbage and racing with them. At the end of our day the children competed in a playful quiz made by me about the day’s presentations.
