Closing the school year in Child Parliament

Closing the school year in Child Parliament

The most notable events were discussed.

The most notable events and the next school year’s milestones were discussed during the school year closing meeting of the Child Parliament in Kaposvár before the day of the Foundation football championship (11 April). The representatives of the Community Houses gave account of the annual work of each house and we freely talked about problems, difficulties, successes and also about the happy moments we all shared this school year. We agreed that the higher level your education you perform the more difficult to synchronise your duties like school programmes, school workshops, championships with the timetable of the Foundation. There are certain cases when our school results do not reflect those achievements that we could be proud of, thus we were thinking about something different. We’d announce an academic competition for the next school year to motivate all of us for the better results.

We announced ‘Colour the world’ tender for this school year and we got feedback from the groups and now we can say that a fair and interesting competition is just around the corner. The representatives of the Parliament also made suggestions concerning the prizes that will be given to the best groups. We also would like to reform our famous football championship and make some alterations in the combination of players in the eight groups.

The next school year and the year 2015 will be a big milestone in our lives because the Foundation will be one decade old. We would like to celebrate this event worthy and our new tender will be about the best moments of the past ten years.

The meeting was rather suspended than closed late at night. The representatives of the groups now know their tasks, to inform the members of their groups, ask for their opinion and inform the leaders of the Parliament.

Good luck for all of us for the rest of the school year, and we wish all the best for the GSCE students.
