Spring in the Hungarian puszta

Spring in the Hungarian puszta

This weekend (11th and 12th March) our photographic team attended a 2-day tour in Dél-Alföld visiting many interesting places.

On the first day, after english lesson, we started to sort the photos taken to the exhibition of day Életút. After sorting and naming the photos, we had our dinner and made some food for the incoming day, then we went to a night photography to Dóm square. We tested the ISO of the object glasses and practiced taking photos at night.

After going back to the house, we cleaned up and went to sleep so we would be prepared for the big tour.

The day after, we left pretty early to the first scene to Bökénypuszta which is near Magyarcsanád. The untouched nature fascinated us, running deers, rabbits, the flora and many different birds were all ready for the camera. At the end of our tour, some of the brave attendants climbed Kunhalom.

Arriving to the bus, we had lunch, then we left to the white lake of Kardoskút. Traveling through the old marshlands, we saw deers, rabbits and cranes, and we managed to take photos of them.

Before we arrived to Kardoskút, we stopped to watch deers and buzzards by telescope.

Finally, we arrived to the prairie of Kardoskút(Near Orosháza) and we visited 2 high-stands and its wildlife. We got to know plenty species, including greylag gooses, great egrets, cranes, lapwings, and we even took photos of them.

On our way to home, we stopped in Nagymágocs, and visited castle of Károlyi’s garden, but unfortunately, we were prohibited to take any photos, but it didn’t disappoint us as we saw many birds on plough lands.
