WE ATTENDED IN THE TRASH ART EXHIBITION

In the spirit of environmental awareness, we were once again enriched with a lot of useful knowledge during the week during classes and excursions. The members of Jászság Group 4 examined with an ecological footprint calculator (https://okokalk.mnb.hu/) how much environmental resources their way of life needs, how much land they need from land and sea surfaces to sustain ourselves and absorb the waste produced, and whether these its impact on the natural environment. This calculator basically measures the greenhouse gas emissions of our everyday activities, this is our carbon footprint, which accounts for nearly 60% of our ecological footprint. Converting the result, we get a picture of the ecological footprint expressed in global hectares.

Afterwards, together with the members of the other groups, we visited the local Waste Yard, where green, selective and hazardous waste from households can be disposed of. We got to know the types of waste, the sources of danger, and the ways of collecting it.

Then on Friday afternoon we visited the Széchenyi Zsigmond Hunting Museum in Hatvan with a part of the 4th group of Jászság. The Grassalkovich Castle houses 3 levels of interactive, multimedia, permanent exhibitions on science, hunting, fishing, fishing and cultural history. We also visited the Trash Art exhibition in the courtyard of the museum until October 20, where monumental works were made from various waste materials (paper, car rubber, metal).
