We are learning how to swim

The swimming camp is starting today (16th June) for the youngest members of group Kaposvár 1. The lessons are held in Nagybajom.

1st day – Our younger students are studying with Kovács László Jr. just like the older ones. The goal is to feel safe in water and to love swimming as sport or free time activity. The first day was a hard work as the children learned how to glide on water and the introductiory practises of the crawl and backstroke swimming. There are several other programmes for the children during this week.

Second – Third day – These days were hard works for the children. They were swimming from morning to evening and could use the learned techniques very well. Everyone is good at the crawl and backstroke swimming. In addition to swimming, there was a chance to try horse-riding. The bravest ones got on the horse without hesitation. As Nagybajom gives place to the swimming camp, it was clear that the youngest members of group Kaposvár 1. paid a short visit in the Community House of Nagybajom. We were welcomed by the mentors, could see the whole Community House and were invited for an ice-cream. Thank you for the generous hospitality!

Fourth day – On the last day of the swimming camp the children were really brave and could practice the learned techniques with full of confidence. At the end of the day some competitions were held at some of the strokes and children practiced some rescue work. As the close of the week everyone got a gold medal of merit from Mr. Kovács. The children will surely use the learned methods at the summer camp starting next Monday.
