Swimming camp

Swimming camp

After the camp in Sarlóspuszta the Jászság 2. group was waiting the next meeting very much.

On Tuesday at last the swimming lessons started within our local camp. On the first day almost all of advanced students have learnt the basic movements of breaststroke, the beginner students got promised, if they learn so rapidly, in 1 or 2 days they could join to others. Do they need better encouragement? What’s the secret of this quick learning: The great experiences, devotion and playful teaching style of the swimming instructors. If it’s necessary they are strict.  But mainly they have good sense of humour, and they love children. Thanks for the helpfulness of junior mentors but not least the „little frogs” are learning very well. We are waiting for the next day. Jászság 2. „little frogs”

The second day started with big elan, too: everybody jumped into the pool gladly and we feel sort of that we swim better and better day by day. Daughters of Aunt Eszter have taught us to make macrame wristlet. After ice cream eating we went to the cinema to see a movie called Finding Dory. We had a great day again.

After a one-day-break we met our swimming instructors Aunt Ági and Uncle Karcsi who surprised us with some interesting aquatic exercises every day. Our swimming lessons took until noon and we can say courageously that all of us advance in buoyancy quickly although some of us like football better than swimming. After pizza lunch we walked to the Zoo where we could participate in sight-feeding of raccoons. Beyond these funny masked clowns we loved the acrobat gibbons and ring-tailed lemurs -or as we called Lali-Kings- and we liked the two-humped camel which was born five day ago. Unfortunately the camp will end tomorrow.

The last day of our local camp has came to the end. Our buoyancy was awarded by medals and we are very proud of that, mainly because we could learn this important skill. We made a decision with Aunt Eszter that we have to celebrate this success. We gave its way: we had lunch in a restaurant. The afternoon had great exercises in store. We visited Jászárokszállás where Brigi and Berni were our guides and Rudi joined us, too. We viewed the Jász-House and we ate oven-baked cakes and scones in its court then we walked to the Tarisznyás Workshop where we could play old folk games and we could try shredding and grinding corn and we competed in groups, who can build higher tower by using wooden disks. We needed dragging to catch the buses to home. It was a nice experience again. Thanks for the possibility.
