Trip to Vojvodina seen as a volunteer…

I got into a closer connection with the Community House of Kaposvár of Csányi Foundation this year. I have met earlier and followed the work of the Foundation through the internet.

It was a great pleasure and a surprise to participate in the trip to Vojvodina as a volunteer with one of the groups from Jászberény between 25 and 29 March. I have been working in the field of child protection for over 20 years. I have been participating in many camps and trips thus I was aware of the challenge involved in this five-day trip both for students and adults as well. As an ‘Outsider’ it gave me pleasure to see the deep and honest friendship, the affection and caring of the children that they have gained throughout the years spent together. The 31 students and the three mentors were like a big family. It was exemplary to see the obedience, the precision, self-determination and cooperation of the students and their respect towards adults. The students complied perfectly well with outdoor programmes during the five days despite the rough weather. The cosy atmosphere and big talks on the bus and at the dinner table made us forget about the icy and winter-like weather. On behalf of the students I would like to thank for everyone who took part in the organisation and preparation of the trip. Special thanks to Juci, Attila and Judit for their professional quality management of the trip and to Barnabás for his breath-taking photos.

Finally, I would like to thank for all participants of the trip for the memories and I hope we will be able to work together in the future!
