How to learn?

The group of Jászberény started its learning methodology training in Sarlóspuszta and they are continuing it in Jászberény, at the Community Centre.

On the first day, students refreshed their knowledge they gained at the camp and than they could get different, new learning methods. Every child knew which learning group they belong to and they got ideas for learning at home. They got to know with the pictogramme method and the mind-map.

“I thought I won’t live the end of this long day but time has passed so far because we had a really good time together. I liked the last exercise the most. The observation task was also very interesting, where we had to memorise shapes and then to draw them.” Brigi

” I liked the one-minute monologues where we marked each other on tempo, articulation, voice, timing, facial expressions and intonation. I like challanges.” Berni

On the second day, after the weakening exercise, the children had a self-study about what kind of personal improvement they need in order to help their study skills. They did such exercises that help them to improve cooperation and then they solved exercises in connection with visual observation. We talked about title-meditation, skimming reading and the importance of ordering. They could also experience and measure how punctual and how fast they work. They could also experience how they can explain and how they can follow their mates’ instructions. We have also talked about the rules of learning a text, and we practiced listing. The kids are fantastic and we had a great time together.
Piroska Szabóné André

“We started the third day with a beanbag exercise. Everyone learnt it very fast. We could work in groups of 3-4 and we did our work very hard. For instance, we made senteces from mixed words, drew up texts, solved ciphers, grouped sayings, filled reading comprehensions and loads of other exercises. We finished this day with group-painting.” Viki and Niki

“These three days were very funny. We laughed a lot and Piroska showed us a lot of new things. Boys made a lot of fun. The group was very cooperating and nice. I and my friends played football during the breaks outside. We arrived as newcomers on the first day but today we play and learn together as friends. The area was awesome and everything was so. When I got home, my brother was listening to my stories and I wrote them down into a notebook. I am very proud of being a Csányi student.” Máté Juhász
