The camp in Kőszeg

The camp in Kőszeg

Our camp started on the 3rd of July.

Due to a sad event our programme has changed and it became shorter unfortunately. Groups of Jászberény and Kaposvár met in Kaposvár and we went to Kőszeg from there by a big bus. The long journey was a good opportunity to have a good chat, including with Zsuzsa Szabó, who is a phychologist. Viki Kovács, the „small mentor” was staying with us, who was in Kőszeg before that. In the evening we finally arrived, the hosts welcomed us at front of the dorm. Aunt Judit told us the exciting programmes of the incoming days. After the dinner we watched the match and walked in the centre.

On monday we visited Madávárta of Tömörd where we could see birds and plants under the guidance of Bancsó Sándor and Illés Péter. Péter had already been waiting for us with birds which were caught with nets. We examined and marked the birds together. Meanwhile we got to know a plenty of informations about them. We could touch the birds but afterward we released them again. It was an amazing feeling. We also had an opportunity to get a kingfisher in our hand. After that we gathered plants. The morning was very interesting and exciting. After dinner we had icecreams and a little break and we set off for our tour to the „Hét-forrás” and the watch. In the afternoon we did sightseeing, played tabletennis or football.

On Thursday morning we travelled to Fertőrákos by bus. Our goal was to visit the newly reworked quarry. Our attendants Balázs, Sándor, Péter came with us again, we could hear many interesting and special things from them not only about the quarry and its surroundings, but they talked about the history of demolishion of the Berlin wall. We also saw the Fertő poe and its surroundings from the watch. There were a short film about the local history in the quarry. We went to the port and we crossed the Fertő poe by ship. Our journey went in really good mood. After dinner we walked to the castle of Kőszeg and visited the Marcipán museum. We closed the day with football and tabletennis matches.

On the last day of the camp a hike was waiting for us. Our destination was Írottkő, that is the highest point of Transdanubium and Mountain of Kőszeg and it is 882 meters. We commemorated and said goodbye to Attila. Along the way, everyone is looking for himself a nice stone and everyone wrote him the idea, which is remembered Attila. When we were done, we put under a huge oak tree the stones togetger and thought Attila. During the tour we had went very steep road. Next to the path we saw beautiful flowers thimble and could taste the strawberries as well. On the top of the mountain we took part in a small competition that was made by Balázs, in this way we could show them what we learnt in the camp. The best ones got a reward. On the way back, if we wanted, we could taste the water of Hörmann fountain. could taste the Hörmann his favor. Pleasantly tired we arrived for dinner. After the packing, we left Kőszeg, and started to go Kaposvár.

In this year i was a „small mentor” firstly, and it was a great experience. The two groups welcomed us with pleasue and we spent some nice days together. I have been in Kőszeg before, so I could say about this time, after that they turned to me with confidence. Keenly I took part in programmes and i helped mentors when I could. Besides this, I answered their quastions about being undergraduate and csanyis later. I bacame richer with this camp, because i got interesting informations about my specialist and I could meet such so good professionals. It will be an unforgettable memory to live throught this camps again with younger students.
