(Mrs) KOVÁCS BODOR Erika

I was born in Kecskemét. I moved to Mohács after graduation in 1986. I have lived here with my family ever since. My husband is also a teacher, and we have a son, Máté, who is 21, and a daughter, Kata, who is 16.

I graduated as a Geography and Biology teacher at the Teacher Training Faculty of Janus Pannonius University in Pécs in 1986. I received an environmentalist certificate from the same university in 1997.

From the start of my career I have taught science from 5th grade to 8th grade at Park Utca Elementary School in Mohács. Nurturing talent, and providing remedial education and support to disadvantaged students, has always been important in my work. In today’s school environment, there are few possibilities to develop talented students and to help low achievers catch up.

This is why I have been very interested in the Életút Talent Development Programme of the Csányi Foundation from the very beginning. The opportunities it provides help the children in the programme and their parents enormously.

I see the job the foundation gives me as a continuation of what I did before, and as a new professional challenge.

It is a pleasure to have had the opportunity to work for the Csányi Foundation since 2014, and to have been the mentor of the group in Mohács.I was born in Kecskemét.
